Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear high-molecular-weight polymer that is easily soluble in water. Its aqueous solution is a nearly transparent viscous liquid. PAM is non-hazardous, non-toxic, and non-corrosive. Solid PAM exhibits moisture absorption, flocculation, adhesion, drag reduction, and thickening properties, while also having good stability.

Applications:


Anionic Polyacrylamide:

- Mainly used as a flocculant: It can adsorb solid particles in water suspensions, promoting the formation of larger flocs. It is widely used in the treatment of industrial wastewater and municipal sewage, as well as in water purification, coal washing, mineral processing, metallurgy, and other industries.

Cationic Polyacrylamide:

- Used in the petroleum industry for oilfield profile control, drilling mud, sludge treatment, preventing water channeling, reducing friction, and improving oil recovery.

Nonionic Polyacrylamide:

- Used as a flocculant in various industries, including textile sizing, papermaking, and wastewater treatment.

Amphoteric Polyacrylamide:

- Mainly used in oilfield profile control, together with crosslinking agents, stabilizers, and coagulants, to create high-strength gel blocking agents. It is used for plugging pores and fractures in reservoirs, adjusting gelation time, and treating various types of oil, organic and inorganic wastewater. It is also used for sludge dewatering, papermaking, and other applications.
